It’s good to be Home in CT.

The quiet corner of Connecticut has always been a place of peaceful progress, tight-knit community, and the most satisfying seasons. I grew up in Willimantic and loved the walk-ability of the town as well as the easy-to-drive-to day trips available all around. After high school I went to college down south and studied English Literature. I then worked for Ocean Classroom and signed aboard their Semester-at-Sea Tall Ships and taught “Literature of the Sea” for three years until I got a phone call from my family.  Grandma and Granddad were ill, and unlikely to recover. I returned to Windham to be with family and to reacquaint myself with the old stomping grounds.

It is wonderful to come back to a familiar place after being away. The area hadn’t changed much and aside from meeting up with old friends, I also met a lot of new people that were just as excited as I was to be living in this special place.

I began to work at Horizons in South Windham and aside from loving the work that I was doing there, I was very inspired by the involvement that the organization had in the quiet corner community. Our community.

Fast forward to 5 years ago and I began to get involved in Real Estate. I had known my Broker/Mentor since I was little and the more I saw of him since returning to the area, I could see that he really enjoyed his work and was passionate about helping people navigate and succeed with one of the biggest investments of their lives. He taught me that although many people assume that Real Estate Agents work only in sales (and that part of the business is important), our true value is delivered when we work in service to others. As experts in our local markets we read the currents beneath the waves and allow our clients to reach farther shores than they ever could on their own.

Our selling team’s vision goes hand in hand with that mission.  We’ll continue to post here to share things that I hope you find interesting about events in the community, local contractors to help with your latest project, and easy to understand information about buying or selling a home in our area. I hope that you all enjoy reading and feel free to share the stories that interest you or you feel could help others.

See you around town!
